FIDELIA Assistance, part of the COVEA Group (MAAF, MMA, GMF) and leader in its sector in France (aid and assistance operations) chose XWiki to create a document repository. The repository is named Wikidélia and it allows FIDELIA assistance to make centralized, reliable, updated and collectively enriched information available to all the employees (over 1100).
Context
The development of the company, the growing number of employees, its ongoing activity (24/24 and 7/7), combined with the multi-sites implantation, have all significantly increased the volume of business information. The communication inside the company had also to be improved and developed upon. FIDELIA Assistance had to completely revise the way they were accessing business information.
Needs
FIDELIA Assistance's needs were to:
- Centralize and facilitate access to information which would be both valid and reliable,
- Follow the updates and news related to contracts real-time,
- Involve all employees in the knowledge enrichment,
- Allow employees to stay informed about company news.
Solution
"On my side, I remember particularly the commitment and strong will of the leadership of FIDELIA to implement this wiki. In my opinion, it contributed a lot to the success of the project, as the process of creation and preparation of the documentation for and by the persons in charge of the support. The solution proposed by XWiki SAS is based on the following services:

A success story
Since its launch, the wiki has 500 unique visits on average every day, more than 2000 pages were created and 900 comments have been posted. Wikidélia is appreciated very much in-house.
The key success factors are numerous. Among them:
- The usability and intuitive character of the deployed solution
- The presentations of the tool empowered users to learn how to use the solution rapidly
- The various events organized in connection with Wikidélia increased the user adoption
- The commitment and involvement of users reached the highest hierarchical level of FIDELIA Assistance
Initial results
The Wikidélia intranet allowed the shift from a verbal to a written culture where each employee can find an answer regardless of their knowledge level on the subject. FIDELIA Assistance have succeeded to capitalize on their knowledge and implemented the actions necessary to enrich it. Having the business procedures written has been a breakthrough for the company. A harmonisation of practices among sites and platforms has been initiated.
