Aelia

Aelia's Aeliapedia intranet addresses all employees, specifically targeting shop advisers who need to have access to a lot of information to do their work. The group chose the XWiki OpenSource edition with the Enterprise Manager extension. This facilitated knowledge building and streamline communication through an easy to use interface that was fully integrated in the existing information system at a reduced cost.
The Aelia intranet includes:
- A Data Base of structured product sheets (product type, category, price, key selling points...)
- A project monitoring solution adapted to Aelia's specific needs
- An advanced multi-criteria search tool
- Accessibility by more than 1,000 collaborators at remote sites (shops in airports)
- Reports generation and statistics about pages viewed
A website has also been created for the group.

AFP

The French Press Agency (AFP) chose the XWiki OpenSource edition with the Watch extension to follow the threads of information and to classify them by themes in the iBusiness platform. This platform aggregates the competitive and sectoral information on a global scale. Every worldwide correspondent is called to contribute, to download documents, to comment on information. After successfully starting to use XWiki, AFP also installed the XWiki OpenSource edition with the Enterprise Manager extension. Today, more than 10 platforms with different uses allow every employee from AFP to be more efficient.
The main intranet features are:
- Publication of news about AFP's competitors and their initiatives
- Filtering and rating of information by theme
- Display of information in a custom dashboard
"XWiki is not a traditional wiki; it's an "extended" wiki which offered many features that we wanted, like export of pages to PDF or application programming interface. What also impressed us is the fact that the XWiki products were Open Source. Air France

Air France was looking for a solution to create a site that could be used by thirty contributors. The additional requirements were the existence of a FAQ, the ability to manage news and a catalogue of IT tools. Thanks to its flexibility, XWiki was able to address both needs: the collaboration requirements and the need for small dedicated applications.

BPI

Led by the BPI, a famous French general information library, librarians have initiated the creation of a website dedicated to people with disabilities and librairies. The Alphabib site, based on XWiki OpenSource, is a reference site for sharing documentation and experience, but also a collaborative website where content is created and exchanged.
CAPHC

The CAPHC Knowledge Exchange Network is an interactive online community focused on sharing and growing knowledge in child and youth health service delivery.

CNFPT

CNFPT manages the training of all officers from the territorial public service. As part of its policy of online resources, CNFPT launched WikiTerritorial, a website dedicated to online knowledge and news about territorial subjects.
Wikiterritorial includes:
- An encyclopedic space gathering several hundreds of articles
- A space dedicated to the publication of news
- A territorial calendar listing all the events related to the CNFPT
The second phase, currently in progress, aimes at establishing a system of territorial social networks based on the existing XWiki Enterprise Manager base.

Curriki

Curriki is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to eliminate the gap between people with access to high-quality education and people with no such access. Curriki created a website based on XWiki OpenSource to support collaborative development and the free distribution of learning materials.

DCNS

Using XWiki to replace existing access databases with online business applications.
EADS

EADS established a service for technological and competitive watch. Its only mission is to keep them informed before anyone else. The team of experts needed appropriate tools in order to perform their mission. TechWatch was born to meet this need. The solution was based on XWiki OpenSource, the Workspaces and Watch extensions. TechWatch allows a collaborative watch between different communities of experts and the spread of strategic information in real time.

EDF

EDF uses XWiki to provide a forum to its technicians.
EMC

EMC is a global leading company in the information systems and archive storage markets.
EMC had to manage large amounts of unstructured data, consisting mainly of business proposals in Word format. XWiki SAS helped EMC to establish a structured knowledge base containing the relevant data.
The solution includes:
- Creation of structured sheets with several fields (name of the solution, type of need, key selling points...)
- Multi-criteria filtering of entries
- Statistics about the activity and the use of the tool
- Import of 30 000 Office documents
The wiki is used by more than 2000 collaborators of the pre-sales team within the company.
Fidelia Assistance

FIDELIA Assistance, FIDELIA Assistance, part of the COVEA Group (MAAF, MMA, GMF) and leader in its sector in France (aid and assistance operations), chose XWiki to create a document repository. The repository is named Wikidélia and it allows FIDELIA assistance to make centralized, reliable, updated and collectively enriched information available to all the employees (over 1100).
As part of the project, the following actions have been implemented:
- Creation of a contracts knowledge base for Fidelia Assistance
- Import of 900 existing Word documents
- Extraction of meta data for each document -> entity, contract type...
- Multi criteria search on the imported documents

INRA

In 2009, INRA wanted to choose and to implement a collaborative work solution for all its collaborators. INRA is composed of several laboratories located throughout the french territory. The institute wanted to benefit from a solution allowing them to deploy independent wikis on-demand for its different laboratories.
The XWiki OpenSource edition with the Enterprise Manager extension were installed at INRA in order to allow the creation of new wikis on-demand.

IWA Publishing

The IWA Water Wiki provides a platform for the global water community to interact and share knowledge online.
The website gathers the following features:
- Dashboard displaying the latest news and upgrades on the website
- Encyclopedic space dedicated to themes about water
- Groups allowing their members to share thoughts about several subjects

NOiV

NOiV is a project that aims to promote the development and the use of open standards and open source software within the Dutch government. A wiki was set up in order to facilitate exchange and capitalization of knowledge in this area.

Rhodia

Using XWiki to create an application for collecting feedback on the studies commissioned by Rhodia.
Sankoré

The Sankoré project is an initiative of the French Government launched in 2009 which aims at helping developing countries (in particular Africa) to achieve the Education for All (EFA) goals through digital empowerment. In order to reach this objective several actions have been taken. A program was created to provide equipment to digital classes in Africa. An interactive whiteboard software was developed. A platform that allows the creation, the dissemination and the sharing of free educational resources was started. The platform's name is Planète Sankoré and it is based on XWiki.

Socomore set up a wiki to allow all its co-workers around the world to contribute to the enrichment of a shared knowledge base (projects, organization of a conference, tests results…), make the teams more reactive and keep them up to date.
Socracy

Today, through the Internet and online collaborative tools, any citizen is empowered to generate new ideas and help define new areas of consensus. Socracy was created to accelerate this evolution, leveraging a Web 2.0 collaboration engine optimized for the elaboration, discussion and publication of political proposals. Socracy is designed as a virtual parliament where anyone can contribute and discuss!
