the XWiki TeamThis past weekend, 4 and 5 February, Université Libre de Bruxelles was the place to be for the large free software community, gathered under the umbrella of the best European Open Source event: FOSDEM. Just like the years before, the event was a hit, bringing together the love for Open Source, Belgian fries, and, of course, local beers.
If you haven't attended FOSDEM before, the magnitude of the event can overwhelm you: 645 lectures, 8000+ hackers, 610 speakers, 669 events, and 55 tracks, around 70 company booths, and countless Twitter posts. Just like one attendant wisely said: "It's a week-long computer conference that takes place in one weekend.".
Then, there's the quality of the people attending and the knowledge gathered in the same campus. Keynote speakers like Brandon Philips, Stefano Zacchiroli, Roberto Di Cosmo, Bradley M. Kuhn and Gerolf Ziegenhain took over the stage on the two days of the event.
