Paris (France), 26th October 2010

This international and recognized ranking positions XWiki alongside major players in the field, niche players, making this an important achievement. According to Gartner, niche players "provide useful focused technology, understand the changing market dynamics, and are working toward evolving their product capabilities." In this category, XWiki is identified as one of the most visionary actors and one of the few European players in the quadrant.

According to Ludovic Dubost, CEO and founder of XWiki, this recognition shows how mature the XWiki Open Source solution really is: "Since the creation of XWiki, in 2004, the solution has continued to evolve both technically and commercially. Uploaded nearly 1 million times and used by large groups worldwide, XWiki is now a mature solution that meets the challenges of collaborative work in business and offers a real wiki and Open Source alternative to the market."

This announcement comes before the release of the new XWiki Cloud, scheduled to take place in a few months. This release will enable companies to create collaborative workspaces on demand and to take advantage of all the innovations that XWiki has to offer.
