Learn PAd meeting at Vilnius

03 Dec 2015 5 min read

On November 23 2015, all Learn PAd partners met in Vilnius, Lithuania. Two days of general and scientific discussions were followed by two days of technical meetings. The four days were especially important, as they were held just a few days after the first experiment of the Learn PAd platform with end-users from the Italian Public Administration.

The meeting was mainly focused on the results of this experimentation. The Learn PAd platform is still in its early stage, close to a prototype. However, we've already got a lot of feedback from end-users. The feedback helped us a lot in defining how we are going to proceed with the future development phases of the platform.

During the technical meetings, we discussed all the complex implementations that would derive from the end-users' feedbacks. Despite plenty of problems being discusses, we managed to find solutions for each challenge. The output of this meeting is positive but we still have a lot to do!

Before leaving, here are a few notes on Lithuania. The climate is very similar to the one in Quebec: between -5°C and - 10°C, brisk and dry. Nighttime starts around 4:30 PM. However, we warmed ourselves with soups (see photo) and Lithuanian specialties. NoMagic Europe, our partner, was a wonderful gastronomic guide. Just one small disappointment: no snow during the 4 days ;-)
